If you were ever asked what your favourite
cult drifting weapon was, the odds are that 2 words would
spring to mind, or to be more precise, 2 numbers, "Hachi",
and "Roku"...The '8-6'! Over the years the popularity of the
AE86 Toyota Corolla has grown and grown, helped along no doubt
by it's starring roll in the hit Japanese |

cartoon series 'Initial D'. Lucky for us that our very own
Will has an excellent example for us to feature. Strangely
enough, the Corolla wasn't Wills first choice of transportation,
he bought it as a run-around whilst he worked on his Retro
Skyline. His search started back in early 2004, although at
that time he hadn't narrowed |

his
car choices down, and after looking at a few dodgy examples,
he finally found this immaculate Hachi on the SXOC forum of
all places. It already had an impressive spec, boasting a
tasty set of coilovers to help batter him around the local
B roads, and a 2 way LSD to further increase his discomfort.
But STICKING to the road |

isn't
what this car is about, no, this was built to DRIFT! Should
it ever find itself sideways, there's a 6 point roll cage
crammed in to both protect the driver and keep the chassis
nice and stiff. Engine wise there's healthy breathing courtesy
of a HKS 288 inlet cam, whereas the exhaust side hosts a HKS
272 cam..........
